A moderate growing shrub with a round form, and medium dense mass.

It is often used as a small hedge or border; trimms well. Blooms best in full sun but will tolerate part shade. Blooms start in the spring on new growth and continue to appear untill the first frost. They are somewhat fragrant. The plant will tolerate unfavorable conditions but will not look its best. Fertilize in late winter.

Leaves are simple and opposite, ovate rounded. Three-quarters to an inch long, shiny on top. New growth is purple, turning green.
