Boxwood, Wintergem
Buxus microphylla 'Winter Gem'
Popular evergreen shrub used extensively for its natural dense growth habit, attractive yellow-green foliage, and ability to be trimmed into a variety of shapes and forms for topiaries or hedges. Roots are naturally shallow and require good drainage; grows best if mulched moderately. Grows to an average of four feet tall and wide.
The Winter Gem cultivar's leaves are darker green when the plant is mature.
