Working with Mortellaro's Nursery

We sell wholesale only ELIGIBLE CUSTOMERS - NOT OPEN TO PUBLIC

     Existing Customers - please provide your customer number in the "Business Summary" section. 

Proof of Eligibility

To expedite online access approval only, we require a copy of Texas Sales & Use Tax Permit (example below)

Purchasing Account

To open a purchasing account, we have a New Customer Packet below, and require : 

1. ) Correct Sales Tax Exempt Form 
Texas Sales & Use Tax Resale Certificate filled out in full, which we verify on the Comptroller's Website. (Form available below)
           OR
Texas Exemption Certificate - Submit the form 01-339, with organization name and exemption number §151.309 OR submit a 501( c) (3) form. A Comptroller-issued Exemption letter is also highly recommended.
           OR
Texas Ag & Timer License is ONLY applicable when purchasing trees to further grow and resell. It's very rare this acceptable for tax exemption. 

2.) Additional Account Setup Information - We need to know if a Purchase Order is required, contact information for owner & authorized employees, and check writer information if applicable.
 
  3. ) Texas Nursery Floral Certificate - "Any business that grows or distributes plants with the intent to sell in one or more permanent locations needs a Nursery Floral License for each location." Example shown above

QUOTES
Inquiries for prices are not freely given, as they are reserved for those actively involved in the nursery or landscape business. You do not need an account with Mortellaro's to receive quotes, but must provide a copy of a floral certificate Sales & Use Tax Permit so that we can verify you are not "the public".

Additional Account Setup Information
This page just gives us more information to set up your purchasing account. It gives you the opportunity to clarify authorized staff to place orders, have a check writer's information on file, and sign up for our weekly newsletter, obtain a website login, or opt-in for our texting ability. Although completely optional, it can facilitate communication and prevent delays when sending crews to pick up orders.

Credit Application
The latest version of our credit application. Must be printed, completed, and mailed to our main office to begin processing. Please allow 30 days for processing.

The bundle of paperwork we have available in our office to any walk in customer wishing to open an account.

Sales Tax Exemption INFORMATION
After our Sales Tax audit in 2025, we learned quite a few things that put us into a position to know what is actually acceptable for sales tax exemption and solidifies our policy on what we can and cannot accept to grant sales tax exemption to customers in the landscape or nursery trade.

Texas Sales and Use Tax Resale Certificate
Standard form with our information already filled in. Must be completed and signed, and we validate it on the Comptroller's website to ensure an active account before granting sales tax exemption on purchases.
