The Skyward™ Veronica Series is a compact, upright selection of Speedwell grown for its strong vertical flower spikes and extended bloom season. These perennials produce dense spikes of small tubular flowers that attract pollinators and add structured color to borders and mixed plantings. Colors available in blue, pink, and lilac purple. In Texas landscapes, they provide a refined, vertical accent that contrasts well with mounding perennials and ornamental grasses.

Skyward Veronica performs best in full sun with well-drained soils. In Central Texas, excellent drainage is critical, especially in heavier clay soils. While moderately drought tolerant once established, they benefit from regular irrigation during prolonged summer heat. Afternoon shade can help reduce stress in Zones 8b–9a. Mature size typically reaches 12–18 inches tall and 10–14 inches wide, making them ideal for the front or middle of perennial beds. Space 12–15 inches apart for mass plantings. They are not considered toxic and are generally deer resistant.

In Texas, Veronica is often grown as a long-blooming perennial but may perform more like a seasonal perennial in extreme heat if drainage or airflow is poor. Cutting back spent flower spikes encourages rebloom and maintains a tidy appearance. The Skyward series offers improved uniformity and sturdy stems compared to older speedwell varieties.
