Salvia, Black and Blue
Salvia guaranitica
Discontinued
Dark green leaves, dark blue flowers with rich purple-black calyxes differentiate this Salvia quite easily. A semi-evergreen perennial shrub that responds well to regular fertilization; at six feet maturity, be sure to provide plenty of room.
Pruning is recommended in the late summer for maintenance and to promote a robust fall blooming pattern. Hummingbirds and butterflies are easily attracted to this saliva.
