Texas native perennial ideal for a tough and dry landscape.
Plant grows from a carrotlike taproot, forming a delicate spreading clump of airy foliage and blooms. Long slender bloom stalks have small orchid like blooms that appear midspring to frost, up to one inch wide.
Grows well in sun or shade, and isn't particular on the type of soil. It will die back to dormancy in prolonged drought or cold winter. Reseeds easily, but doesn't become overly invasive.
